Sew Addicted Quilting was established in 2003 when owner Ashley DelaBarre purchased her first longarm quilting machine. She started quilting at a young age; being taught by her mother and grandmother. The family always hand-quilted every quilt that was made. After trying a longarm machine for the first time in 2002, Ashley knew that quilting was her passion in life – some may call it an addiction – hence the name Sew Addicted! Ashley now proudly quilts with an APQS longarm quilting machine.
In college, Ashley studied Business Management and Marketing and also took many art, drawing, and design classes. The art classes have proved beneficial in her quilting skills & designs and she enjoys drawing and coming up with new quilting patterns. She also strives to learn new techniques and patterns and has taken classes from internationally known machine quilters such as Karen McTavish and Sue Patten. Ashley takes her passion for quilting seriously, but she also loves to have fun and help her customers find the perfect design for their quilts. Ashley grew up in Minot, North Dakota and now resides in Bismarck, ND with Neil, her husband of twenty years and their three children.
